UFOs and The Holy Bible - UFOs and Angels: The Eyes Of God By Christopher Montgomery Kx32i483@aol.com http://www.angelfire.com/journal2/UFORCE/page46.html UFOs: God's Heavenly Angels One popular theory in the realm of UFO research, is the hypothesis that UFOs are "heavenly vehicles," used by "messengers" or "angels" of God. Angel=messenger in the Greek interpretation. The word for angel in the Greek is the word "". They may not be vehicles in the conventional sense of the word, but rather a "conveyance," or an end to a means. In other words, the UFO may not be a vehicle at all, but rather a visual interpretation of what could possibly represent a doorway, or portal into another dimension, and the Holy Bible often describes heaven as a place, which co=exists right along-side ours in this time and space contiuum. After over twenty-five years of intense research into this matter, I have been left with the scientific theory that the UFO represents God's heavenly, angelic servants active in our world today. Satan, formerly an angel, but cast down, or fallen to the earth, is no longer called an angel. Satan, and his demons are no longer afforded the luxury of roaming freely through time and space, or "heaven." He is isolated to the earth, and cannot enter heaven, without an assist from God's heavenly, or angelic realm. There are numerous reasons that I believe that this is the correct Biblical interpretation ot the Greek and Hebrew texts, although there are still many learned and educated Bible authorities who do not, for whatever reason, accept this interpretation. And I will be the first to tell you, that this is based upon theory and conjecture, and is not the only representation of the Biblical texts that we will exameine It is unfortunate, that these distortions are perpetuated! They are passed down from theologian to preacher, and taught to the flock, serving only to muddy the proverbial waters of truth. These key passages are critical to how we interpret the UFO phenomenon in relation to the HOLY BIBLE, and their misinterpretation will throw everything into a different light. Although I would assume that this is done out of ignorance for a complete understanding of the Greek and Hebrew texts, the result could be a nefarious, misleading doctrine! The Book of Revelations This book in the HOLY BIBLE, contains a great mystery, a riddle wraped in an enigma. It has drawn the attention of numerous scholars throughout the ages, who try to interpret the meaning of it for one very important reason: it describes the end of one world and the beginning of the next...a "New Age," also known as the "Millenial Kingdom." This will be a thousand year period of peace, where it is prophesied that Jesus Christ will reign as the Messiah, from the "New Jerusalem." All of this is described in the New Testament, especially in "Revelations" where the judgements and plagues are listed in great detail. The Fall of Satan In popular eschatology, it has been preached that Satan, an angel of light, is still actively roaming about the heavens, free to traverse the void whenever and wherever he desires. If this holds true, then Satan would also utilize what we would perceive as a UFO conveyance. But does he? Many theologians teach that this serpent-man will be cast down to the Earth, sometime in the middle of the "Great Tribulation," a future period in time when great destruction will befall the earth and its inhabitants. This "fall" from heaven will enrage the devil, and cause him to seek and carry out certain destruction upon mankind. One of the reasons that they postulate that this is so, with great authority, is based loosely upon one chapter in the last book of the HOLY BIBLE; to wit~ Revelations Chapter 12. (7)AND THERE WAS war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. And the dragon and his angles waged war, (8)and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. (9) And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him." ~THE HOLY BIBLE,"Revelations" Chapter 12; verses 7-9 "(Thompson C.R., NAS) In the book THERE'S A NEW WORLD COMING, Hal Lindsey writes about events leading up to the end of the world. Although his book contains numerous truths about the HOLY BIBLE, it also contains some common, Biblical distortions,. including what I believe to be a misinterpretation of Revelations chapter 12. These distorted passages are crucial to a complete and full understanding of the UFO as angel hypothesis. Hal Lindsey writes: "Satan and his angels....are booted out of heaven to the earth, and from that point on he is never allowed to come before God again with accusations against God's children or for any other reason." "Since this conflict takes place at the middle of the Tribulation, I hate to think of the fury that Satan will unleash on the earth when he no longer has access to the heavenlies where he and his cohorts have resided since their original fall from heaven's good graces!" (Reference #1) This passage is apparently what many claim is their justification for the turbulent times of the Great Tribulation: "WOE to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time." I speculate that what scriptures is trying to tell us, is that a decisive battle was waged in heaven, and it was a real war...a battle that meant the use of powerful weapons, and many casualties...but I would have to admit that this happened a long time before Christ was born in the flesh... almost 2000 years ago. My interpretation is that the HOLY BIBLE is telling us that this was ancient history...as in past tense. This seems to be confirmed by the words of Jesus Christ. This major victory over Satan and his followers, set the stage for Christ's final victory at Calvary. Through Christ's birth, death and resurrection, the devil's fate was sealed with this important victory. We were bought with a price...the death of Christ, who was and is the perfect, unblemished sacrifice, as atonement for our imperfection. Later, in chapter 12 of Revelations, it says in verse 10~"And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, 'Now, the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of the bretheren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night." Another name for the devil, is the "accuser." What is key here, is that IF salvation was to come DURING the tribulation, it would not agree with sound doctrine. "Now has come salvation..." According to the HOLY BIBLE, salvation was won at Calgary, when Christ died on the cross. If the voice in heaven was talking about salvation as present tense, it would have had to have happened thousands of years ago. I have to say that from all available evidence, that Hal Lindsey, like so many others, had made the mistake of accepting popular misintepretations of the Bible, based upon common biblical distortions. And with one distortion, comes another and another...you must continue to distort to justify the last one and so on and so forth...like telling a lie. When you tell a lie once, then you will have to tell another lie to convince others that your lie was truth, and so on down the line. This is a messy and tangled process of deception. Just like when these so called biblical experts say that UFOs are the devil's tricks...how would they explain the "pillar of fire" which led the Jews out of Egypt? They couldn't be more wrong, and they are merely telling more lies to cover their other lies. Another word for Satan is "The Father of Lies." First, what IS the devil's trickery, is that he is alive and well, walking about this planet assuming many guises. One of them being an alien in a extraterrestrial vehicle. Secondly, there have been numerous reports of reptilian creatures. Some of these are featured here on the website. These have never actually been seen entering nor leaving a UFO conveyance, although many investigators place them at the UFO sighting. I believe that the evidence has been misconstrued. The evidence linking the UFO to the serpent-like entities is merely by association only. To the best of my knowledge, there has NEVER been a direct link between the reptoid "alien" and the unidentifiable flying object. If there was, It is my opinion that they are being transported, not unlike prisoners, described in "The Book of Jude" in the (Old Testament) of the HOLY BIBLE. The cherub-like greys, as well as the angelic nordic blondes have been seen entering and exiting UFOs. So have the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and I have done extensive research on these apparitions! "I beheld Satan, as lightning fall from heaven." -Jesus Christ -THE HOLY BIBLE, Luke 10:18(Strong's Exhaustive Concordance) In "The Book of Luke," Chapter 9, verses 1~6, Jesus sent out his desciples, with a mission. They had specific instructions on how to perform their mission. Christ had commanded them to "proclaim the kingdom of God and to perform healings." They were instructed not to bring more than the clothes on their back! What is even more incredible, was that Christ "gave them power and authority over all the demons, and to heal diseases." The desciples then set out going from village to village, performing miracles and healing, doing exactly as they were instructed. Later in The Book of Luke, Chapter 10, the HOLY BIBLE says that "the seventy returned with joy, saying 'Lord, even the demons are subject to us in YOUR name.'"(verse 17) Then, Christ says something very important to our research. Jesus says to his desciples "I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning."-THE HOLY BIBLE, (Thompsons Chain Reference, NAS) What I would like to point out here, is that once again Jesus Christ seems to confirm that Satan has already fallen. Could Satan's fall be a part of the tribulation process? The scriptures seem to dispute Lindsey's claims, and claims by other theologians, that UFOs are the devil's trickery. My point is this...If what the Bible says is true, then Satan is already enraged at mankind. The reason is quite simple... we were made in the image and likeness of God. It was God and 2/3 of the Angels that defeated him. It says in Genesis, "Let us make man in OUR image," which I interpret to mean the triune God OR the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I assure you, that if what I have learned from my carefull analysis of the WORD of GOD is true, that Satan desires nothing less than to torment each and every one of us for all eternity. We were all given a choice to accept or reject God , just as we choose to do good or to do evil. I say that the reason is simple, because we cannot know love if it is forced upon us, for we can only know love if we choose to love that which first loved us. So, what of those who do not have a chance to know about the salvation of Jesus Christ and his heavenly angels represented by the UFO phenomena? The Bible has an answer for that. Creator God is a good and loving being, who rewards those who do good, and punishes those who do evil. "Revelations" is very specific about this matter, and it clarifies who will and who will not enter into the pearly gates of heaven. This can be found in Revelations, 22, especially verse 12 of the HOLY BIBLE. "BEHOLD, I AM COMING QUICKLY, AND MY REWARD IS WITH ME TO RENDER TO EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO WHAT HE HAS DONE. Rev 22:12 I do not believe that God would punish those who do good, works and love their fellow man, but do not yet know Christ, as some would have you think. "For we cannot know love if it is forced upon us, we can only know love if we choose to love that which first loved us." ~Christopher Montgomery Chris is also Owner and Moderator of "ufoscience", you may subscribe by sending an email to ufoscience-subscribe@egroups.com To join The UFORCE Newsletter send a note to uforce-subscribe@egroups.com _____________________________ REFERENCES: Reference #1: THERE'S A NEW WORLD COMING; Hal Lindsey; 1973 Vision House Publishers, Santa Ana California page 175 Reference #2: The translations of the HOLY BIBLE used in this research include Thompson Chain Reference Bible, New American Standard; Strong's Exhaustive Concordance and the The INTERLINEAR BIBLE, Greek, Hebrew and English. #2. The Starchild Saga by: Lloyd Pye http://www.lloydpye.com/quest2.htm (Editor's Note: Also check out the Archives: THE STARCHILD PROJECT: An Analysis Of Two Unique Skulls Of Uncertain Origin by: Lloyd Pye & Mark Bean http://www.worldofthestrange.com/Archives/101199.htm ) This was published in England's Fortean Times Magazine in December, 1999. While touring the western United States in mid-February of this year, 1999, I was asked if I would meet with a couple who wanted to show me something. The "something" was not specified, but I am often asked to evaluate material relevant to my research in the field of non-traditional human origins. (I support the theory of Interventionism, which occupies the wide swath of middle ground between Darwinism and Creationism. For those readers who do not yet know of me or my work, information can be accessed on the internet at www.lloydpye.com. I assumed the request would involve some aspect of my research specialty, hominoids, which includes Bigfoot/Sasquatch, the Abominable Snowman/Yeti, and two others, Almas and Agogwes, that are not well-known worldwide but which dominate in their particular regions. My assumption proved to be very wrong. What the couple wanted to show me was a pair of skulls, one clearly human and one apparently not. The latter has since come to be known as "The Starchild Skull," which can be accessed at www.starchildproject.com . It is difficult to describe my feelings when the Starchild was lifted up out of the small cardboard box containing it and its companion. In my studies of human and prehuman and hominoid anatomy, which comprise the bulk of research in my book "Everything You Know Is Wrong---Book One: Human Origins," I had learned a great deal about the bones in a human body. However, nowhere in my research had I ever encountered anything remotely resembling that skull. I sat stunned, gazing into eye "sockets" that were merely shallow indentations scooped from the front of the face, feeling the kind of awesome wonder one occasionally feels while gazing at a star-filled night sky. "What do you think?" the couple asked me. I pulled from my reverie and looked at them. "I think you might have a winner here. I think it has a good chance of being alien or part alien." They nodded, making it clear they felt the same way. "What should we do with it? How should we go about proving it?" I told them how I would go about that, outlining a series of steps I felt would be most effective. First, consult experts in human pathology to determine if it was any kind of known deformity I was not familiar with. If those consultations indicated we should pursue the matter seriously, then a battery of formal tests should be conducted using the guidelines for studying any anthropological find: Carbon 14 to date it; an endocranial cast to determine the structure of its brain surface; a spectrographic analysis of its bone to determine the chemical makeup; but most importantly, comprehensive testing of its DNA needed to be carried out, both mitochondrial and, if possible, nuclear. This, I knew, would be the sticking point. Nuclear DNA is difficult to recover in ancient bones, which are classified as anything over fifty years. These skulls had been found 60-70 years ago in the mountains 100 miles southwest of Chihuahua, Mexico, but they appeared to be 200 years old, or more. That would make recovery of their nuclear DNA only possible in a handful of labs around the world, and the costs of such work would be substantial. So I undertook trying to arrange the testing processes in a very deep financial hole that I did not prove to be very adept at digging my way out of. Here I must confess that while I have many valuable attributes as a scholar, writer, and lecturer, I have proven to be a highly ineffectual fundraiser. There is now serious doubt about whether I could raise dust on a dirt farm. So it has taken me five full months of effort to secure the services of a DNA lab that can do the work that will be required on the Starchild skull. These tests will get underway in late August or early September, and we should have a definitive answer by mid to late October, if all goes well. What do we expect those results to say about the Starchild? There are three options: It is a seriously deformed human of a type that has never been seen before. It is a purely alien being of the "gray" type. Or it is a hybrid between a human and a gray type. What are the odds on any of the three being the ultimate answer? If you ask almost any establishment scientist who deals with human physiology, they will say it will unquestionably prove to be a deformed human of some kind. However, based on my own extensive research into human deformity, I do not think that is likely. I think the Starchild will prove to be one of the latter two, most probably the alien-human hybrid. In the course of forming my opinion about the Starchild skull, I consulted over forty acknowledged experts in fields ranging from anthropology to dentistry to ophthalmology to radiology to neonatology to forensic pathology. Some of them grudgingly admitted I had shown them a "highly unusual" specimen they could not be 100% certain about, but the vast majority insisted that its many physiological oddities had to be the result of pathology (deformity) because the alternative (the alien hypothesis) was impossible. As one of those experts so cleverly put it to me: "Mr. Pye, as long as pathology can account for a foot growing out of a human head, pathology can account for this skull." Challenging that kind of all-encompassing defense is a bit like trying to play Monopoly against Bill Gates using real money. The game is heavily stacked against you before it even begins. But let's not be intimidated by the many Ph.D.'s who have been consulted and pronounced the Starchild a deformity. Let's simply look at the facts and let those speak for the skull. Read them and decide for yourself what you think it might be. The eyes. Human eye sockets are cone shaped to hold an eyeball and the muscles surrounding it that allow it to move up, down, left, right. That cone extends 5 to 6 centimeters into the skull, and at its back are openings for the optic nerve and various blood vessels. As mentioned earlier, in the Starchild's skull there is no cone, but rather a shallow scoop in the bone of the face, 3 centimeters at its greatest depth. The optic nerve canals and the fissures are skewed down and away, at the bottom of the scoop and on the inside, thereby housing an eye radically different in shape and probable function. The temples. In humans, thick bands of muscle pass beneath the zygomatic arch (cheekbone) to spread out in a fan shape and connect with the entire side of the skull. They attach from forehead to upper hairline to behind the ear. In the child the zygomatic arch has been greatly reduced and dropped from horizontal to a 30-degree angle. Instead of two fingers worth of muscle passing through, two spaghetti strands pass through. And, in a true miracle of deformity, those greatly reduced muscles have been neatly detached from the anchor points of humans, spread out in a reconfigured fan shape, and reattached across an area about 1/3 that of a human. The parietals. In humans the parietal bones form the upper rear of the cranium. While we all know there can be quite a range of difference in this part of the head, the parietals of the Starchild are far beyond any such variation. In fact, they are so large relative to human parietals, it is conceivable they might contain individual parts of a trilateral brain (all humans and primates have bilateral brains). If this should prove to be true (a planned endocranial cast should be definitive), there would be little doubt the child was a pure alien or an alien-human hybrid. The occipital and neck. The occipital is a large curved bone covering the lower rear of a human's head. Near its center is a noticeable bump (feel your own) called the "inion," which is the starting point for the neck. Above the inion is skull, below it is neck. Neck attachments fan out in an arc that carries from the inion to behind and below the mastoid bones that protect the ear canals. It is an extensive area, in its own way as extensive as the attachment area of the temple muscles. And in all the cases of head binding I have now seen, not one has gone below the inion. Yet in the Starchild's skull the entire occipital is flat, as if designed that way, with a gently convoluted surface that belies any possibility of binding--ever. Furthermore, the inion has become subtly concave relative to the bone around it. And, as with the temple muscles, the neck muscles have somehow been detached from where they would normally be on a human skull, greatly reduced in size, then reattached in a semicircle roughly 1/3 the area of a human neck. The foramen magnum. In humans the foramen is positioned rear of center to balance a heavy rear cranium against an essentially empty face area. The front of a human face has numerous sinus cavities, two deep eye sockets, a mostly empty nasal passage, and a rather large mouth. This means the weight of the brain is dominantly rearward, under which is the human foramen. The child's foramen is centered under the head, balancing it like a misshapen golf ball on a vertical tee. This shift in its center of gravity is necessary because the child's cranium is essentially wall-to-wall brain. It has no sinus cavities and greatly reduced eye sockets above an apparently small nasal passage and mouth. Weight and brain volume. An adult human skull weighs about 2.2 pounds. The Starchild's skull weighs 13 ounces without its teeth or jaws. With them it might have weighed 15 to 16 ounces. It is definitely made of bone that is lighter and thinner than normal human bone. Furthermore, it lacks the internal flanges of bone that support a normal cerebellum, which among other functions in humans is the coordinating center for muscular movement. The lack of those flanges does not necessarily mean the Starchild lacked a cerebellum, but if it did that would be incompatible with life as we know it. However, one of the most startling differences between humans and the Starchild is in brain volume. A normal adult's brain capacity is around 1400 cubic centimeters (c.c.), while the Starchild's is an astonishing1600 c.c.! In anthropological circles a jump of 200 c.c. in brain volume heralds a new species. Homo Erectus is 200 c.c. more than Homo Habilis. Homo Archaic is 200 c.c. more than Homo Erectus. Homo Neanderthalensis is 200 c.c. more than Homo Erectus. But in the case of the Starchild skull, it is officially considered a mere freak of nature, and so it will remain until DNA testing and other testing now underway definitively proves its lineage to be either a very ugly human, a pure alien gray, or a gray-human hybrid. I'm betting on one of the latter two, which I still need help to prove. There are several peripheral tests that need to be done over and above the DNA testing, and those tests will cost in the range of U.S. $10,000. If anyone would like to participate in this fascinating, possibly historic project, please wire any contribution to: Bank One, Metairie, Louisiana, U.S.A. The ABA Routing Number is 065400137; the Account Number is 1574861504. Don't worry about being informed of the test results. As soon as we know for certain, one way or the other, we intend to publicly announce and publicize the results on the internet site. If the Starchild turns out to be a terribly malformed human, then we will have added a valuable new chapter in the annals of human deformity. And, of course, if it turns out to be anything other than 100% human, it will be the single greatest discovery in history. #3. The Ghostly Sightings at 'White Horse Lane' and Some Personal Theories Behind The Happenings! by: Stephen Clementson stephenandlesley@sclementson.freeserve.co.uk The story behind this is long, and the outcome, thus far, of my enquiry is not to my personal liking. But then, a fair analysis of anything cannot be coloured by one's own prerequisites. I may not be equipped with an ornate pipe and deerstalker hat but, unlike the late 19th century sleuth Sherlock Holmes, I am not the product of someone's active imagination either, and my investigative tool is a computer; a device unknown in Conan Doyle's day. I think it best to point to my own experiences first. My involvement in this business had begun without my conscious knowledge: a situation, by the way, that is clearly echoed in my wife's experiences. Not only was this situation obscure to me, but also the scant, fragmented, data didn't point to anything in particular. It would be fair to say that I had felt like I was being watched many times in the years prior to meeting my wife, but there had been few oddities to speak of. Indeed, there was an enormous gap between them. To demonstrate this, one of those peculiarities had occurred as far back as May 1972. That was a truly bizarre occurrence, and was utterly devoid of meaning...or so I thought. The event to which I refer had taken place aside a leafy lane in the county of Hertfordshire, England. That particular lane is known as 'White Horse Lane', and its name relates to sightings of a ghostly white horse. Not that my experience involved such a sighting, even though that particular phenomenon was sufficiently famous to warrant the naming of a public house (English 'pub') in its honour. Chatting with a friend, we had approached the edge of a farmer's field that overlooked that narrow road. As we did so, we heard the sound of children playing in a schoolyard. We were astounded; those kids could only have been about seven years old, and this was nine o'clock at night. They should have been in bed; the sun had set, and dusk had dimmed the scene to pastel shades. There weren't any schools nearby either, nor were there any large establishments capable of containing a multitude of excited kids. There were just farmer's fields as far as the eye could see. Further to that, those playful sounds died away as quickly and as mysteriously as they'd come. That business would appear entirely irrelevant if it were not for the hidden clues that would only emerge a quarter of a century later. After all, there were no UFOs, and there were no alien artefacts to be found either. Yet the absence of such material evidence combined with its offbeat nature, counts for naught in this enquiry. The remarkable feature of this case is that there really is a link between it and the white horse apparitions. As I have said, the story behind it all is long, and no novelist would ever have dared consider this scenario. You see the link that I have found is in a book: I have renamed it 'The UFO Codebook', and my observations put an entirely different slant on the notion that 'God' was really an astronaut. A book that connects many things, this particular literary work is generally known as 'The Holy Bible'. Having studied these things, it seems clear that the bible was never a truly religious work, merely a means of conveying messages across time. Thinking the work sacred, religious leaders have retained the book, seemingly unaware of its true significance. But they weren't supposed to understand that, they were supposed to keep thinking of it as being of religious significance. Take the White Horse Lane cases, where the references to them are to be found in John's Revelations... Revelations 6: 'Seals one through six' ... "[Rev 6:1] And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four living beings saying, Come and see. [Rev 6:2] And I saw, and behold, a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given to him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer."... Revelations 19: 'Marriage supper of the lamb' ... "[Rev 19:11] And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse; and he that sat upon him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. [Rev 19:12] His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. [Rev 19:13] And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called, The Word of God. [Rev 19:14] And the armies [which were] in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean."... If that were not crazy enough, then perhaps my analysis of other things will push things over the edge for you. Indeed, John's utterly irrational statements regarding such things as 'the four horsemen of the apocalypse' have their parallels in more than one area of the paranormal, including the UFO phenomenon itself. So here are a couple of beautiful little clues to link UFOs to John's bizarre book: Firstly, the name 'Corona' is Spanish, meaning 'Crowned Maiden' (refer to New Mexico). But the second clue is the real 'killer', as the Teutonic name 'Roswell' (also referring to New Mexico) means: 'The Mighty Steed.' If that doesn't suggest a set-up, I don't know what would. Bizarrely, my 1972 experience in White Horse Lane was the same, due to a number of overlapping factors. For a start, my friend's surname was Matthews (meaning: 'of Matthew's family'). Peculiarly, there is a connection between him, this lane (quintessentially a narrow road) and Matthew of the biblical world... According to Matthew 7: 'Jesus' sermon continued' ... "[Mt 7:13] Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in by it. [Mt 7:14] Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth to life, and few there are that find it."... A clue within a clue, eh: I'm not surprised that few have found it, the clues are crazy and the coincidences are even crazier. After all, there were two brothers, Andrew and Paul Matthews. The school joke about them was due to their initials: A.M. & P.M. Not only were they opposites, but also the name Andrew means 'Strong and manly', whilst Paul means 'Little'. Whichever brother I'd been with at the time, the opposite would have counted. So, the sound of school children at 9:00 pm would have reflected the sound of school children at 9:00 am. As for my connection to this bizarre business, consider that the name 'Stephen' (Greek) means 'The Crowned One.' Unlike my namesake in the New Testament, I'm no religious freak, and I don't intend to get stoned to death for my troubles. The phenomenon of religious symbolism would appear to be widespread, and the pub that bares the name 'The White Horse' (Burnham Green, Hertfordshire-located at one end of the lane) has its own ghostly apparitions. I have found a veritable mountain of the stuff, and if you're interested I'd be happy to tell you much more. #4. Tracking the Elusive UFO by: Sally Suddock - Staff Writer for Cosmiverse http://www.cosmiverse.com/paranormal100202.html If you've ever wondered what a good tool might be in the hunt for UFOs, the answer might be right in your automobile or home: a simple, AM radio. The Electromagnetic Working Group, directed by Robert A. Goerman, says the "old" technology of the common AM radio is the logical choice. First, "it works. In those days when foil-festooned 'rabbit ears' magically snatched 'The Invaders' out of thin air and AM radio ruled the airwaves, radio and television interference was the commonplace electromagnetic effect associated with so-called 'UFO' events. Phenomena-inspired AM radio and TV interference is documented fact plainly acknowledged by skeptic and believer alike," says Goerman. Second, he says, they're easy to operate and will pick up any electrical noise (like that emitted by machines) when tuned to a quiet frequency that's not assigned to broadcast stations. Not only are AM radios simple to operate, they're also portable and easily obtained. Goerman described the techniques for using the radio in UFO investigation in an article, "Free UFO Detectors," in Fate magazine in April. His organization has requested assistance for all observers of UFOs in a study on how these observations correlate to anomalies in radio frequencies, and, to some extent, VHF signals in televisions. Here are some of the descriptions of what the listener may hear (with the radio tuned to one of the higher, unused radio bands): --Static like a loud sound of "bacon frying" --Sounds that are similar to roaring up and down the scale; speeded-up phonograph record noises; harsh shrieking; high-pitched whistling; or humming or whine of constant or varying pitch --Signals such as beeping; Morse-code-like "dots and dashes;" interference structured into pulses. Goerman also says that AM-FM cassette tape recorder combinations also allow direct recording from the radio without external wires or microphones; and car radios, he says, can be programmed to unused frequencies. #5. Aliens Said to Observe Earth Through Vortex by: Sally Suddock Staff Writer for Cosmiverse http://www.cosmiverse.com/paranormal100201.html A UFO investigations organization says recent research by the American Science Foundation has verified the presence of New Jersey vortex that enables alien intelligent species to enter Earth's environment. Reported by Above Top Secret weekly newsletter, the so-called vortex, near Wanaque, is a "doorway system that provides an unknown species or several unknowns to travel reasonably without observation" from an unknown other side of the portal. "When scientists at the American Science Foundation were asked by a local computer company executive to analyze claims by a study team that some form of extraterrestrial life was using a "doorway" system of highly resonant energy to covertly study humanity, they at first were skeptical," say researchers at the website. "After five months of analysis of the data, the scientists asked to perform the analysis, are no longer skeptical." "In Denver last week, nearly 600 attendees of the Global Sciences Congress Annual Convention had the chance to witness the existence of the Alien Observer Orbs when 15 or so were captured live on digital cameras and shown to the stunned audience," says the website. The camera images were captured in stereo-optic, infrared format. Moreover, says abovetopsecret.com, the alien observers also appeared at the conference "live," which "was indicative of a human compatible intelligence, and a sense of humor, which even staged a scene reminiscent of a scene out of the movie Contact." "The technology at use is extremely stealthy, beyond anything in the U.S. Pentagon's arsenal. And it hasn't escaped the Pentagon's attention, either: As the ASF Study Team (called TEAM ORB) observes the strange vortex, and follows and films and catalogs the orb-like evidence of the alien species travels around our planet, the Pentagon is also watching," says the organization's newsletter. The group reported that electronic observation equipment installed by the Department of Defense at Wanaque was mysteriously destroyed, while the ASF equipment has not been interfered with. The study also has captured the attention of the technology companies, said abovetopsecret.com, among them AT&T and Bellcore. One Bellcore executive was quoted as saying that "if we can conquer space-time, then we should be able to leap beyond Einstein Relativity, to a new understanding of the Universe and how to Explore it, in real time, traveling beyond the light years, in seconds. Its quite exciting." "Humanity may not be ready for this discovery," said Bryan Williams, one of the Team Orb researchers who was one of the original discoverers of the Vortex Doorway System. "But, apparently these astral alien beings, or whatever they are, are ready for humanity. I think we have no option but to open up a relationship with them and educate ourselves as to who they are and what they want. Williams also believes the Orb Aliens are not alone. "It seems there is some kind of conflict going on between aliens of one order and another order, which would look kind of like lizards and dragons to us…this conflict threatens to invade our space-time," he says. "I think the Orb Beings are here to try to prepare us for the possibility of being drawn into a vast political conflict beyond our past experience, which may pop into our Solar System through one of these interstellar, interdimensional, astral doorways they use for faster than light or interdimensional travel. We need to all be very open minded, as they are obviously more advanced than we humans are." #6. An Alien Heat: Chronicles of Sex and Saucery by Scott Corrales lornis@aol.com INEXPLICATA The Journal of Hispanic Ufology http://www.inexplicata.com (There are more details to certain classic UFO cases than ever make it into most magazines. This is certainly the case with the equally famous case involving young Brazilian farmer Antonio Villas Boas...and those who followed him.) It is an unquestionable fact that sex has played a pivotal role in a number of UFO cases and has become the mainstay of the abduction phenomenon, whose literature centers around the non consensual aspect of these goings on. But these are merely the latest facet of a phenomenon that goes back to the very start of human history and myth. Who can forget the Greek gods and the numerous guises they assumed to seduce humans? But the Mediterranean cultures were hardly alone in their beliefs. Hindu deities were equally proficient at seduction: the Bhaghavata Purana tells us of the exploits of the divine Krishna with mortal milkmaids. Hardly a culture in the Americas lacks a story concerning a sky maiden who fell to earth, married a mortal, and then returned to her people after having had offspring. The notion of sexual congress has also played heavily in science fiction and other speculative writing as far back as Edgar Rice Burroughs's John Carter of Mars stories, where the human hero fights all manner of alien beings on the Red Planet and wins the affections of the alien princess Deja Thoris (Burroughs's Martians were oviparous, so in the course of time, we can imagine that Carter's alien lover laid an egg). The Case to End All Cases: Antonio Villas Boas Many researchers and writers have agreed that should it be necessary to sum up ufology in a single case, the one involving the strange experience of Brazilian farmer Antonio Villas Boas would more than likely be the one to choose. Veteran Brazilian ufologist Fernando Cleto reminisces about the surreal days of this most unusual case: "...as friend of Joao Martins, I already knew enough about the event in his own words. On one occasion, I read letters written by Villas Boas and even managed to see a small model of the "flying saucer" and one of its occupants small rustic statuettes whittled out of wood by Villas Boas himself. I also recall that Joao Martins was completely opposed to making this case known to the public, and for this reason it was disclosed much later[...] after Dna. Irene Granchi made it known overseas. I published my own opinion in this regard in a Belgian or British magazine I can't remember which. I made an observation which greatly favored the Villas Boas case." As if the incredible AVB required further bolstering, Fernando Cleto managed to show that there had indeed been sightings of the same elongated oval vehicle elsewhere in Brazil prior to the date of the events in the AVB case. "I remember," says Cleto, "that a few days prior to October 15, 1957, there occured a case in the interior of the State of Goiás. A car was forced off the road by a force issuing from a "flying saucer". The driver described something that bore a strong connection to what Villas Boas had seen. At first, he compared the UFO to a helicopter having the power to exert traction...and to have witnessed occupants similar to those seen by Villas Boas himself. There is no doubt that on November 6, 1957, Colonel Ivo Gastaldoni, who was on the way to the hospital to see his newly-born daughter, was summoned by his commander to see a UFO hovering directly over the Cumbica Air Base. The colonel remarked that the object was high up in the air and well out of the base's fighters' reach. His overall impression was that it resembled some sort of egg shaped craft with a helicopter blade spinning above the ovoid fuselage. "When added to the November 6 case," writes Cleto. "The event involving the driver before October 15, 1957 coincided with the description given by VIllas Boas for his own object, which impressed me greatly. It was as if a certain model of UFO carrying a very special crew complement had been operating in a particular region of Brazil for a given period of time, engaged in a special mission." Ufologist Cleto's memorandum regarding the AVB case notes that Joao Martins' reluctance to disclose the particulars of the astonishing AVB event was to keep mentally unbalanced individuals from conjuring up similar scenarios. But what exactly happened to Antonio Villas Boas? The deposition taken by investigator Dr. Olavo T. Fontes and subsequently delivered to Brazil's Ministry of the Navy remains the cornerstone of research into the case. It was taken in Fontes' office on February 22, 1958 and witnessed by journalist Martins himself. Villas Boas began by stating that he was 23 years old at the time and was a farmer by profession. He lived on a fazenda (ranch) on the outskirts of Sao Francisco de Sales, Minas Gerais, not far from Sao Paulo, and came from a large family consisting of two brothers and three sisters who all lived in the immediate area. The young farmer explained that it was their custom to work two shifts during the planting season: one at night, which was his responsibility, and another by day which was handled by farmhands. On October 5, 1957, Villas Boas went to bed at 11:00 p.m. after a party at the farmhouse. He shared the room with his younger brother Joao, and they both witnessed a strange nocturnal light that lit up the entire room, and had its source in one of the animal pens on the farm. It was ten days later on October 15 that Antonio Villas Boas would have his historic experience. While driving his tractor, he noticed a shining star that increased in brightness as if descending to earth. "In a matter of seconds," he told his interviewers. "it turned into a very shiny oval object headed straight for me. He tried to escape from it by speeding up the tractor, but the object had already landed some 10 to 15 meters ahead of the tractor. "It got closer and I was able to see, for the very first time, that it was a strange device with a slightly rounded shape, encircled by small lights and with a large, enormous red spotlight in front, from which came all the light I could see when it was higher...the machine's shape was now clearly visible. It resembled a large, elongated egg with three spurs in front." AVB added the curious detail that "something appeared to be spinning at high speed on top of the vehicle and gave off a reddish fluorescent light." Seized by terror, Antonio jumped off the tractor in hopes of eluding his pursuers on foot, but the furrowed terrain made a speedy getaway impossible. The next thing he new, someone had seized him by the arm. It was a figure much shorter than he, wearing a "strange outfit" and a helmet. The farmer pushed the figure away and managed to knock it to the ground, but three more similarly dressed figures turned up, grabbing his arms and legs, bearing him off to the waiting craft. Villas Boas indicated that he did not go off meekly to whatever fate awaited him: he kicked, screamed and hurled insults at his helmeted captors. Given the narrowness of the vehicle's access stairway, the farmer managed to break away from his captors, but he was overpowered once more by their uncanny strength and superior numbers. The humanoids dragged him into the craft, where he was stripped naked and subjected to several indignities. His captors drew a blood sample from his chin using a chalice like device, and after slathering him with a strange liquid that covered his entire body, he was taken to a room unfurnished but for a couch were he was left alone for some twenty minutes, by his count. At this point, a mixture of fear, nausea and coldness, coupled to the stench of a strange gas that was pumped into the room, led him to vomit in one of the corners. "After a long time," Villas Boas said, "a noise at the door startled me. I turned in that direction and was shocked to see that it was now open and a woman was entering the room, walking toward me. She was approaching slowly, perhaps amused at the astonishment that must have been visible on my face. My jaw had dropped, and with good reason. This woman was completely naked, as was I, and barefoot. She was also pretty, although different from the women I'd known. Her hair was an almost whitish shade of blonde, as if peroxided, straight and not very abundant, neck length and with the ends curled inward. Her eyes were blue and large, more narrow than round and slanted outward like the pencil painted eyes of those girls who fancy themselves Arabian princesses and make their eyes look slanted; that's what they were like. Only it was a completely natural effect, since there was no paint at all involved." The strange liquid which had been spread over his body, apparently some sort of aphrodisiac, began to work as Antonio felt less tense as the small woman began to caress him, ultimately seducing him. "It sounds incredible," he confessed to Fontes and Martins during the interview, "given the situation I was in. I believe that the liquid they rubbed on me was the cause of it. All I know is that I felt an uncontrollable sexual excitement, which had never happened to me before. I forgot about everything and held the woman, returing her caresses with my own. We ended up on the couch, where we had relations for the first time. It was a normal act and she responded like any woman. Then came a period of more caressing followed by more sexual relations. In the end, she was tired and breathing quickly. I was still excited, but she now refused and tried to get away. When I noticed that, I cooled down too. That was what they wanted from me, a good stallion to improve their stock." The door opened once more and two of the "crewmen" appeared, summoning the woman away. Before leaving, she turned to the farmer and pointed at her belly, then pointing him, and finally at the heavens. Curiously, Villas Boas took this to mean that "she would return to take me from wherever it was she came." After having served as breeding stock, Antonio was unceremoniously led off the vehicle, which took off immediately. Returning to his tractor, Villas Boas learned that the time was now five thirty in the morning. Estimating that the time had been around 1:15 a.m. when he was abducted, his entire experience had lasted some four hours and fifteen minutes. "My mother told me shouldn't become involved with those people again. I didn't have the courage to tell my father, since I had already told him about the light that appeared over the pens, and he didn't believe me, telling me that I was seeing things..." Villas Boas concluded. After his traumatic experience, Villas-Boas withdrew from public life to pursue his studies, earning a law degree and becoming a practicing attorney in the city of Formosa, Goias, while running a small business on the side. He died in late 1992 in the city of Uberaba, in Brazil's Triángulo Minero. In June 1993, the late Dr. Walter K. Bühler, president of the Sociedad Brasileira de Estudios Sobre Discos Voadores (SBDEDV), disclosed the fact that between 1962-63, his organization had received an anonymous letter from the U.S., inviting Villas-Boas to visit this country in order to examine a recovered flying saucer in the possession of the American military. This letter was sent to Formosa, state of Goiás by Dr. Buhler. Allegedly, Villas Boas's son advised him that his father had indeed visited to the United States to inspect the object but had kept silent the rest of his life concerning the visit. In the Wake of AVB On March 3, 1978, in the small hours of the morning, eighteen year old Jose Inacio Alvaro, studying to be an electrician at a vou tech in the Brazilian town of Pelotas, noticed a strange glow pouring in through one of the windows of his house. Alvaro, who had been up at that late hour studying, felt an unusual torpor seize him at the very moment that a thin blue beam appeared out of the light. The next thing he remembered was waking up on the street at a considerable distance from his home. Casting a frightened look at his wristwatch, Jose Inacio realized the time was now four o'clock in the morning: he had no recollection of what events had transpired in the intervening two hours. Jose Inacio's case attracted the attention of Brazilian ufologists who urged him to undergo hypnosis. The sessions were conducted by a number of faculty members of the University of Pelotas and at one point even included the college's chancellor. Under hypnosis, Jose Inacio recounted an experience that rivalled the classic Antonio Villas Boas case: at a given point, he found himself in an unfurnished, circular room and in the company of a naked, dark haired woman that was much taller than he. At that point, the student realized that he, too, was unclothed. The woman approached him, placed a hand on his forehead, and told him not to be frightened since no harm would befall him. She immediately began caressing Jose Inacio, who at first had misgivings about the situation but eventually relented. They ended up having sexual intercourse on a structure that he described as "a net." The details of his carnal experience were intensely graphic. The hypnotists' report states that the subject's words and movements clearly indicate he was reliving the experience under trance. For the sake of decorum, the researchers allegedly erased the recording of the session. Unlike the AVB case, there were witnesses to Jose Inacio's return from his odyssey. One resident of Pelotas claimed having seen the student lying on the street at that time of the morning; upon approaching to offer assistance, the good samaritan alleged that Jose Inacio stood up like an automaton and walked away from the scene. Other local residents claimed having witnessed the passing of a disk-shaped flying object in the sky above Pelotas, disrupting the power grid as it did so. AVB's and Jose Inacio Alvaro's experience were not to be unique: they would soon have to share the spotlight with those of a third Brazilian man by the name of Juan Valerio. On the evening of November 30, 1982, Juan Valerio da Silva went out of his house in the rural town of Botucatú to get some water and did not re-enter the structure. Three hours later, he was found unconscious in his backyard, naked and covered in what appeared to be oil. Having no conscious recollection of what happened during the twelve hour absence, hypnosis was again employed to ascertain his whereabouts during the "missing time" period. Valerio claimed that he was taken to a strange place by unseen captors, stripped of his clothing and placed beside a dark skinned naked woman with long black hair who forced him to engage in sexual activity. A series of "strange tatoos" were etched upon his body. While lacking the lurid descriptions that made his predecessors' experiences famous, the importance of Valerio's story lies in what we could term the postscript: the abductee developed a number of psychic abilities, most notably telekinetic powers. He has also had repeated visits from his non-human hosts, and was led to believe that his eldest son, Reginaldo, was also the product of genetic experimentation by these alien entities. The Events at Mirassol Mirassol is a city of some thirty two thousand inhabitants in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil which has earned its place in ufological history due to the events which allegedly took place there in 1979, regarding the experiences with non human entities lived by Antonio Carlos Ferreira, who was 21 years old at the time and working as a watchman for a large furniture manufacturer in town. At three o'clock in the morning on June 28th of that year, Ferreira witnessed a large shining light descend from the darkness on to the ground not far from where he stood watch. As he concentrated on the bright light, he then noticed that three diminutive entities were approaching: their heads were coverd by opaque helmets and their bodies were encased in form fitting suits with what the young watchman took to be "breathing devices". Before Ferreira knew it, one of the beings fired a beam of red light which left him paralyzed. The was conveyed in this state of immobility toward the painfully bright light, which turned out to be a small disk shaped craft that shuttled Ferreira and his captors to a larger vehicle in space. Once aboard this craft, the frightened watchman was surprised to notice two different sorts of beings milling about: one having dark skin and curly red hair, and the other with lighter complexions and straight black hair; both non human species had large slanted eyes, wide mouths with thick lips, well defined chins and lacked eyebrows or eyelashes. His own abductors proved to be some sort of "mechanical men" who returned to their stations against a wall after delivering their captive. Had nothing else occurred, Antonio Carlos Ferreira would have merely been a South American Travis Walton a stranger in a strange place filled with non human entities. But the most harrowing part of his unearthly experience was still to come. The humanoids transferred the watchman to a small room and told to lie down on a couch after giving him multiple assurances by telepathic means that he would be returned home unharmed. Feeling more at ease, Ferreira complied until another being appeared in the room: it was a naked female of the darker skinned alien species. Under the hypnotic regression preformed by the late researcher Walter K. Buhler, Gullermo Pereira and Ney Matiel, Ferreira described his would be sex partner as downright repulsive, having an unpleasant breath, an overly large chin, small breasts and icy cold skin. The detail of red pubic hair, which had first emerged in the Villas Boas case, resurfaced in Ferreira's experience. A struggle with the aliens also remisicent of the AVB case would take place as three of the creatures tore his clothes off to prepare him for the act. Ferreira was outraged and told the female not to come closer since "her ugliness was repulsive". A slightly taller alien gave Ferreira an injection that caused him to lose strength and brought his combativeness to an end. They then covered him in a dark, amber colored oil and placed the repulsive- looking female on top of him. The sexual act was rapidly consummated and the aliens fussed over him again, bathing him in the strange oil once more. His captors informed him they came from "another planet" and that their mission was to secure human offspring for future research; he was told that he would be contacted once more in order that he could meet his hybrid offpring. At one point, Ferreira complained of an inability to breathe and his abductors gave him an unpleasant tasting liquid that appeared to remedy the situation. Similar "cordials" (for want of a better word) also been described in other Brazilian cases, such as the one involving the soldier "Jose Antonio", who was abducted by strange dwarves while fishing on a riverbank. Ferreira apparently underwent other abduction events of which he had no conscious recollection whatsoever the second in January 1983 and the third in April of that same year. One Day While Chasing Kites This case takes us from subequatorial Brazil to the Caribbean, where in 1934, a teenager identified only as "Julio" became the protagonist of an episode that would scar him for life. It was first investigated by Puerto Rican ufologist Sebastián Robiou (mid 70s), then re investigated by Salvador Freixedo (late '80s). The witness has since been interviewed once more by Magdalena del Amo Freixedo (1997). One morning, while flying a brand new kite on a slope outside the city of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, before going off to school, young Julio was startled to see his kite being sucked in by what appeared to be an air pocket or vaccuum of some kind. He pulled on the string and noticed an inordinate amount of resistance from the wayward kite. Upon looking up, he was amazed to see a ball "like a ball bearing", but measuring some twenty feet across and having the same coppery hue of a BB. A light issued from the object and he felt himself being raised into the air. Before he knew it, he was inside the strange flying object. "One one side, I saw a girl," Julio indicated during the interview conducted by Robiou. "and on the other was a guy looking at a some sort of giant emerald. He wore a tight fitting olive drab suit that looked like plastic. I couldn't see his face, because he was minding the device. He gestured at the girl...the girl had a pinkish complexion and wore a silvery suit. She was small, like one of our six year old girls, with platinum blonde hair. I don't rememeber the color of her eyes." Julio explained that the child was holding his kite in her hands, and that he made all possible efforts to tell her that it belonged to him. The girl not only did not surrender the kite, but instead gave him a small box, from which images could be made to appear. He did not remember how, but the object returned him to the place from which he had been collected, and returned him abruptly to the ground. He suffered a sprained ankle as a result of the experience but he had the curious little box with him. Further details would emerge during Freixedo's re-opening of the case. "Julio", now a hardened man in his early sixties, informed the Spanish ufologist of the ultimate fate of the little box he'd been entrusted with. The box measured some 20 x 20 x 20 centimeters, and when its "user" placed his or her hands upon it, a "kind of vapor made up of lights" would spin on its surface, causing an entity as small ape like creature no more than 1 meter tall to appear in the room. According to Julio, the entities materialized in such a manner would not speak and appeared to be surprised to find themselves in an alien environment. The girl child on the strange object had successfully caused the "little apes" to return to their native surroundings or "back into the box", as Julio put it. Only the hapless boy was not so good at this final aspect: the diminutive simians would materialize and vanish at breathtaking speed out the window, many times in the presence of his classmates who had asked him to perform the "neat trick" with the box. The apported entities were not at all pleased, claimed Julio, with their new condition. They would frighten children and dogs, and appeared to prowl the surroundings of Julio's family's house. "Believe me," he told the researcher. "I would just like to die. I'm tired of seeing strange things." The supernatural primates had apparently been the source of a number of mysterious deaths which had occured in his corner of southwestern Puerto Rico over the decades. When Magdalena del Amo Freixedo re-opened the case as part of her book Abducciones (Bell Book, 1998), a further wrinkle appeared which has a direct bearing to this article. Now willing to go on the record by his real name --Juan Rivera Feliberti--he explained to Del Amo-Freixedo that his contact with the alien "girl" had not stopped after the incident of the wayward kite. Many years later, now a married man with children, the experiencer moved from Mayaguez to Sabana Grande, P.R. and took his family to the beach one day. While the children frolicked in the water, "Julio" decided to go fishing. He suddenly realized he was not alone: a beautiful woman had appeared right in front of him. A wave of remembrances washed over him as he realized her blonde hair was identical to that of the girl in the odd circular vehicle so many years ago. He asked her where she came from, and she allegedly replied "from far away, from the stars...". Male figures soon appeared, clad identically to the one he remembered seeing back in 1934. "They were the lady's companions...they were identical to the one I'd seen as a boy. Suddenly, I don't know what she did, but she was completely naked. She didn't tell me anything, but I understood in my mind that she wanted to have relations with me. I didn't want to...I wanted to run away. Besides, my wife could catch me if she happened to come around." Although hesitant to describe his unusual experience to a female investigator, Del Amo-Freixedo eventually convinced him to elaborate. Uncomfortably, "Julio", now in his seventies, continued the story: "Look, I didn't want to at first, but you know how it is. I was young and the woman was very good looking. She began caressing me all over, and we ended up like men and women do when they're both unclothed." "Julio" bashfully added that his alien lover's body was not exactly like that of a human female: her breasts appeared to be placed lower on the torso and her pubic area was hairless. He made the curious observation that her skin, while soft, was somewhat scaly. These anatomical differences did not deter him, however: "We [had sex] several times. I think four. Back then one was full of energy and recovered quicker." In subsequent years, he would return to the scene of the events in hope of seeing his unusual sex partner again, but never did. As if to bring the events in the long, strange life of Juan Rivera Feliberti to a full circle, at around three o'clock a.m. one day in 1995, he saw the same girl who's stolen his kite once more, standing outside his house. Conclusion Regardless of the stance we may take regaridng the UFO phenomenon, and provided that we are willing to suspend disbelief, the information that can be gleaned from these cases is of considerable interest: absent from the scene are the Greys, Reptoids and Nordics that seem to populate the abductee chronicles--here we have beings of an entirely different taxonomy engaged in an operation or mission that appears to be taking place largely within the confines of Brazil, the South American giant. The commonalities of the experiences the oily liquid applied on the abductees, which serves as antiseptic and aphrodisiac at once; the beverage that relieves human discomfort; the choice of intercourse rather than artificial insemination link them together while separating them from the coldly clinical abduction phenomenon in the northern hemisphere. The fact that this libidinous aspect of the UFO phenomenon appears to have a strong preference for Brazil has led to jocose comments on the appeal of Brazilian virility to non human intelligences. We cannot deny, however, that somewhat similar situations have occured elsewhere in the world as well as in our own country. In October 1974, oil worker Carl Higdon took a day off from work and went hunting near Rawlins, Wyoming. Coming across an elk (an astonishing piece of luck in itself on the first day of hunting), Higdon pulled the trigger on his rifle only to see the bullet issue from the weapon in slow motion and land fifty feet away from him. To his astonishment, the hunter realized that time was standing still all around him and that a chinless, jawless alien being was looking at him. Higdon was apparently abducted and hooked up to strange devices aboard "a cube shaped UFO". The hunter attributed the reason for his being returned to Earth by his captors was that he had had a vasectomy performed a few years before the abduction and was therefore useless for the "breeding program" that his captors appeared to be pursuing.
