Review
"This volume succeeds in its purpose of mapping out the terrain of
the practice of genocide, and in providing insights into the conceptual
issues that attend the study of genocide. For this reason alone, it is
an important work which advances our knowledge of the history and causes
of genocide."—Journal of International Studies
"Thoughtful and well-researched."—American Journal of International Law
"This
book brings together scholarly experts on this grim subject, one that
has been made particularly timely by events in Bosnia and Rwanda."—Foreign Affairs
